Scripture: John 11:20-27
Martha believed in the resurrection. She believed in the last day. She understood the two to be inseparable.
"I am the resurrection and the life." Jesus longed for Martha to understand that He was this now. Present tense. He is "the resurrection and the life."
Apart from Jesus there will be no resurrection or life. Now or later. He is the I AM.
