Effectively Works in You Who Believe

Scripture: 1 Thessalonians 2:13-16

"For this reason we also thank God without ceasing, because when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which also effectively works in you who believe" (1 Thessalonians 2:13).

The Word of God delivered by the Apostles is truth. It is living and powerful. It effectively works in those who believe.

"Effectively works" is translated from the Greek word energeo. It means to be operative, be at work, put forth power (Thayer's). God's Word operates in the lives of those who believe. It works. It puts forth power. For those who believe, the Word of God energizes their lives!

Believe! Welcome God's Word! Be energized!
